Since God has already overcome death through Christ, the Christian can live with confidence in the present. No matter how dark the present age seems, the Christian has seen the light to come. (The ship lost in the storm is looking for light and if he can see it just a glimpse of it his whole perspective changes) so is it with believers, Christ is the light that says it is not over we will make it.
