Community Life Church

The goal of the Discipleship Pastor is to gauge the spiritual vitality of the church and neighborhood. It is to encourage reconciliation to God and to each other and to guide the church to enjoy their dependence on God, enjoy their need for others, and enjoy others need for them. This involves encouraging people to practice the spiritual disciplines well and understand what it means to be a disciple of Jesus. The Discipleship Pastor will provide a consistent place for Bible study, a presence for people who need prayer or encouragement, opportunities for spiritual growth and an overall attitude of discipleship within the church and neighborhood. He will provide weekend spiritual retreats that focus on personal growth, individual men and women’s times and maintaining healthy marriages. He wil be in charge of guiding people of the church into a covenant in order to best understand the commitments to the church. He will also reach out to new visitors of the church and look to include them in the life of the community. The goal of the Discipleship Pastor is to make sure each person is growing closer in their relationship to Jesus.
